16TH STREET EXTERIOR
The elevation façade & roof framing sustained serious structural damage. Restoration consisted of replacement of detailed moldings, millwork, corbel, dentil blocking, radius trim pieces, tapered wood columns, and Corinthian caps. The entry doors were made custom with operable transom light openings and mortise hardware.
16TH STREET INTERIOR
The interior upper 12-room flat was completely destroyed and renovated to its original architectural finishes. The restoration included covered plaster ceilings, plaster rosettes, custom baseboards, and solid granite counters. Also included in the restoration was the hand carved marble fireplace and complete new Fir flooring throughout the building.
New electrical, plumbing, and stained glass décor were restored within the beautiful Victorian building. This project took a span of only nine months, which was two months ahead of schedule. The insurance company underbid the restoration by $300,000, however, our estimating team prevailed at appraisal. Krueger Bros. Builders, Inc. was able to get the full amount necessary to restore this ornate Victorian building back to it’s original beauty and complete the project properly for our client.
